The cover of Nicola Sanders's book "Don't Say A Word"

Kate married Max for one reason only: to protect his daughter, Holly, from him. And one day, in self-defence, Holly kills him. But they can’t call the cops—they’d never believe them!

So what do they do? Hide the body, plan to dispose of it.

But when an accidental run-in with the neighbour turns into way too many questions being asked, Kate can feel that her time is running out to fix this mess. So what’s she to do?

I was given the audiobook of Don't Say A Word as an ALC (advanced listener copy), so I want to say a big thank you to Nicola Sanders for this story, Furphies Press and Dreamscape Media for giving me this ALC, and to NetGalley for facilitating it all.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My thoughts:

I was a tad wary at the beginning of Don't Say A Word, just because I wasn’t a huge fan of Kate to start. And honestly, I don’t think that changed until the end of the book. I wanted to yell and make her see how stupid she was being! But I promise, it all makes sense eventually.

There are a couple of big twists held back until you’re right at the very end of the book, and I feel like I was waiting for more big things to happen in the middle of the book?

The audiobook for Don’t Say A Word comes out on July 28th!

Question of the day:

If you witnessed something like what Kate witnessed, would you call the cops, or protect your loved one at all costs?
