REVIEW: The Opposite of Murder by Sophie Hannah

In Sophie Hannah’s The Opposite of Murder, what starts as a seemingly straightforward murder investigation quickly becomes something much more complicated, with secrets, twists and plenty of questions about who can actually be trusted. And, as you’d expect from most of the books I read, things are definitely not always what they seem.
I had the opportunity to read The Opposite of Murder early as an ARC, so thank you to Poisoned Pen Press for the book in exchange for my honest review!
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
My thoughts on The Opposite of Murder:
This was an interesting mystery to work my way through. Sophie Hannah slowly peels back the layers and gives you just enough information to make you think you’ve figured things out. But I think I was actually questioning myself and what I thought every few chapters.
I enjoyed the twists and the overall puzzle of the story. There were definitely moments where I thought I knew where things were going, only to realize I might have been looking at it completely wrong.
If you’re a fan of twisty mysteries that make you play detective while you’re reading, The Opposite of Murder is definitely one to add to your list. It came out on August 25th!
Question of the day:
Are you someone who tries to figure out the killer before the big reveal, or do you prefer to sit back and let the mystery unfold?
