You Belong Here by Megan Miranda is, at its core, about how far a mother will go to protect her daughter.
When this mom sends her daughter off to university at her alma mater, a place she vowed never to return, things go very wrong, very quickly.
And now, this little family must figure out how to get out of the mess they’re in safely.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My thoughts
You Belong Here is another book I read in my little book club with my mom, and it’s actually the third Megan Miranda book we’ve read together. We love a good Megan Miranda book, and there haven’t been any so far that I wouldn’t classify as good or great.
There were some really good twists in this book, some I really didn’t see coming, and because of that, I feel like I can’t really say much here without spoiling the story for you.
So I just say that you need to go read the book for yourself and see Miranda’s awesomeness on the page!
Question of the day
If you were a parent and your teenager secretly applied to a school in a town that you refused to return to, would you be happy that they’ve made an adult decision for themselves? Or would you put your foot down and say no way in hell was that going to happen? Let me know!
