Have you heard of a book where a former serial killer, who is now a grandmother and sinking into her old age years, has to start murdering again to protect her secret? A book in which the more this elderly woman gets involved in crimes, the more her world spirals out of control? So much so that her past is coming back to get her, and she truly thinks this could be the end for her?
Well, if you haven’t, you have now!
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
My thoughts
Too Old For This was a cute, quick, serial killer book with a lot of deaths, but at least they weren’t horrific. They happened as if they were always meant to happen, and this little old bitty couldn’t help but kill those people.
I had to keep reminding myself that the reader is supposed to like Lottie… But she’s still a serial killer who has killed enough people to be in the double digits. So I honestly needed to wrap my head around that several times before I finally knew how to feel about it all.
There were a couple of times that I wondered “what’s the point of all this?”, but once I just let myself relax into the funny-ish m*rd*r story, I enjoyed it more.
Question of the day
If you found out your sweet, kind, little old grandma was actually a serial killer, would you accept it or turn her in to the police for her crimes? I’m really interested in hearing this one!
